The Beginning of a Village



The Village of Forrest, Illinois is located at the junction of US Route 24 and Illinois Route 47. Forrest was named in honor of a Mr. Forrest of New York City, the business partner of Mr. Frost, President of the T.P.W. Railroad at the time of incorporation in 1890.
